My Firstever...

Finally! I am here and I have started blogging. Actually, I have been writing this blog forever..In my mind! Really, I am not kidding. There was this one time while 'grocery shopping' that a brilliant idea struck me, and I  swear to god, I was going to start blogging the moment I reach home (Wohooo). Like most people I consider myself gifted when it comes to memory and did not make a note of the idea, and to tell you I always carry a small notebook with me ( I don't know why I have it at the first place when I have such a brilliant memory!). Well anyways, I reach home set my lappy on my kitchen counter top, pour myself a glass of chilled 'Chenin Blanc' ( someday I am going to write a post about this too) and start writing...two sentences and  I need to get some cheese crackers to go with the wine! ( of course you have to enjoy your wine), yeah that almost completes the picture. what picture? well, I have always fantasised about writing in a certain way, writing while gazing out of window at rain, writing while wearing my favourite white dress, writing at my home in Goa on my vintage portugese'  desk while I am having coffee in my favourite mug n so on (Come on everyone does that)... so the wine thing was also one of those fantasies.  then I look at the clock..oopsie its eight..have to cook the dinner too. I decide to cook in between writing the post ( and drinking wine)! maybe it should have been the other way around...whatsoever.. this is where things got a bit.. ahem ahem..Challenging! I kept on reminding myself that I am excellent at multitasking (of course I am). So I write a sentence and  then start chopping mushrooms for pasta, then I think how difficult is it to cook pasta, eh? so why not finish cooking pasta then blog peacefully without hindrance. of course its a brilliant idea. The thing about pasta is, its a nightmare for people who are on diet and a delight for happy sinners like Garfield! I am always in between the both, So making Pasta although a quick alternative to regular Indian dinner is never guilt free. the guilt and convincing myself not to cook pasta always take most of my cooking time! I anyways forget both when good pasta melts in my mouth and leaves me with a satisfied round feeling - especially when I enjoy it with a glass of a hearty red wine ( read Cabernet Shiraz). So I finish cooking pasta  and start writing. Not even one sentence and husband is at the door! and you know what? husband's love combined with good pasta is a hazard to creative writing..this combination (also read wine) makes you forget about everything around you, wipes your memory of good ideas, automatically closes the lid of laptop and makes you go buzzzz with joy. But then again, I am not known as'The' queen of procrastination for nothing..I could always do it tomorrow...well tomorrow never came and even if it did, I had no clue about the subject I was going to write about.
Exactly after 3 months, Today I wanted to write a very serious post about 'Modern vintage obsession' but then how many of you would really read it! well to be very honest..maybe one (yeah I am sure it will be one, Maya I am counting on you). So I have decided  not to make this blog strictly Home Decor but talk about all things bright and beautiful (there will be some blues as well :D) . All the photographs, sketches and views expressed in this blog will be mine unless specified. All you lovelies are welcome to comment, suggest and share your Views on my blog.
